This kind of wire has excellent anti-moisture resistance and can be used in the welding of nodular cast iron, so it can replace steel castings or forgings with lower cost ductile iron workpieces.

NI-ROD 44 welding wire is a kind of solid NI- iron - manganese welding wire, which can be automatically or semi-automatic welding of nodular cast iron, malleable cast iron or gray cast iron at any position. In robot welding, the penetration rate can reach up to 18 pounds (8kg) per minute, and the melt speed can reach 50 inches per minute (1270mm). If used for submerged arc welding, INCOFLUX 7 submerged arc welding agent is adopted.

This kind of welding wire is used for welding, which generally does not require pre-heating or post-weld heat treatment, but for those large castings that are less plastic and have severe constraints, such treatment may be better.
