INCONEL 52 焊絲主要用于鎢極惰性氣體保護焊和熔化極氣體保護電弧焊焊接INCONEL 690合金。這種鎳-鉻組分的焊接材料主要用來滿足不斷變化的核工業的要求，含鉻量較高使其在核輻射、純水環境中具有更好的抗應力腐蝕開裂的能力。這種焊絲還可以用來在大多數低合金鋼和不銹鋼表面形成耐蝕防護層，也可用于要求耐受氧化性酸腐蝕的場合。INCONEL 52 焊絲可以用來焊接異種材料，例如INCONEL系列合金、INCOLOY系列合金、碳鋼、低合金鋼和不銹鋼相互之間的焊接。
