通常控制器的輸出都是用于控制交流接觸器或復合開關，最常見的就是220V交流輸出。輸出的路數視要求而定，通常10路就可以了。
最常見的輸出元件是電磁繼電器，選用電磁繼電器的最重要的原則是繼電器銜鐵本身不能與接點有電連接，不少繼電器的銜鐵本身就是動接點的一部分，于是繼電器鐵芯帶電，當線圈絕緣出現問題時，強電就會竄入控制部分造成嚴重損壞。而對于銜鐵與接點沒有電連接的繼電器，則不會出現強電竄入控制部分的現象。
當電磁繼電器接點斷開時，由于接觸器線圈是大電感電流不能瞬變，會產生很高的電弧電壓，因此必須連接阻容吸收元件，否則會產生嚴重的干擾。
輸出元件也可以使用電子繼電器，電子繼電器的內部是晶閘管，由于晶閘管可以電流過零關斷，因此不需要使用阻容吸收元件，并且驅動電壓電流都很小,比較容易實現控制。質量好的電子繼電器價格較高。質量不好的電子繼電器容易產生誤觸發，造成上電時接觸器抖動。
輸出電路也可以使用雙向晶閘管，這時晶閘管的驅動電路稍微復雜一些，但是成本很低,可靠性也可以做得很好。
